Pay the Piper...Pick the Tune

If taxpayers are going to pay the piper, they have the right to pick the tune.

  

The Wall Street bail-out is the wrong answer to the wrong crisis. There is an engulfing financial crisis in America but it is found on Main Streets across the entire country. This is where the crisis has already eaten well into the very fabric of our nation. And, this is where the most urgent help needs to be focused.

 
Americans need to stand up for America once again. We need to stand up against this false plan to give a “get out of jail” card to Wall Street along with a check for hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars.

 
Americans need to grab the moment and shine the light on the real problems that confront Americans on Main Streets everywhere across America. Americans can forge a consensus for a common sense solution for the common good; we can help lead to real solutions for real problems. 

 
Let the outcome of the election be determined by our values. Do we approve of the actions and behavior of those on Wall Street? And, do we agree that what they need was to promote America’s interests. If so, a bail-out may be desirable.  

 
Or, do we understand and identify with our friends and neighbors on Main Street. Do we understand how sickness or job loss can lead us to make things worse by exercising poor choices? Do we wish to reach out to help those less fortunate than ourselves? 

 
Several hundreds of billions is, indeed, a lot of money. What would you like to see done with it?
